Ever heard the saying "Attitude is everything"?
People can sense your attitude or your energy not just by your words but by your body language, your demeanour, your actions...
To develop a positive attitude let's do a lifestyle check.
Are you getting enough sleep? Experts recommend getting 7-8 hours of sleep in a completely dark room. To get the maximum healing benefits of sleep it's best to get to bed before midnight.
What do you feed yourself psychologically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually?
There's a lot of negativity in the world. Tune out the negatives and tune in the positives.
- Watch your intake of the daily news. Reduce or eliminate it completely.
(The media has played a role in feeding into our fears. And some of us are so locked into our fears we have become addicted to bad news). You will still find out what's going on in the world and it wont have such a negative hold on your life.
- Tune in some good books, videos, DVDs. Check out Louise Hay's "You Can Heal Your Life", Henriette Ann Klauser's "Write It Down, Make It Happen".
- Use forums such as this amazing one to take in positive things.
- Spend time out in nature, visit art exhibits, paint a picture, do things that truly inspire you...
Watch what you eat:
Consider adding more healthy foods to your plate daily at every meal. Think foods that are unprocessed, not chemically treated. (Organic is ideal). Your body will give you signals as to what's best for you.
Are you getting enough exercise? Make sure to get out and get moving every day.
Keep a gratitude journal: Being thankful works like gangbusters in bringing more positive things into your life!
This list is by no means exhaustive. These are some of the things that have worked for me. Try them out for yourself. Take from this list, things that resonate with you personally.
Have fun,
