Hello Ladies
I am not sure if this is the correct board for this, actually it covers quite a few boards.
In any case I would like to post this article from a very informative and supporting site for women.

Women and Improve the Lives of Children
37 THINGS WE CAN DO TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN
1. Speak up; speak out when something doesn't feel right. Don't apologize for it. Be proud.
2. Support other women who are doing well.
3. Write one letter a year about some injustice toward women or children.
4. Look for the next opportunity or challenge even if it’s at home. Make changes if the work load is unfair or if every time he watches the kids he calls it babysitting.
5. Boycott something and write the company as to why you will no longer use their product - maybe it's because of a degrading commercial.
6. Make a point to help other women - something as easy as not laughing and pointing if she has a swimming suit malfunction but running up to her quickly to help her. If a woman needs toilet paper or a tampon, help her.
7. If you see a business vehicle going to a porno shop and the driver goes in, call the company, they have a right to know where their vehicle goes.
8. Start having closer relationships with women. Start having women mentors and becoming mentors for other women
9. Call the radio station if they are crossing a line. Remember, we say it's ok if we say nothing at all!
10. We are not cats. We don't have cat fights. If it bothers you, tell somebody.
11. Say old husband's tale once in a while instead of old wife's tale
12. Take good care of yourself; exercise, take a class, make time to do the things that recharge your batteries.
13. Vote for women. We need women in politics
14. Follow your dreams. Set goals and action plans. Strive to do better. Other women (your daughters, nieces) will see it and want to do better, too.
15. Don't call another woman a bitch, very *friendly* person, sleeper, tramp, thingy…
16. Don't call your breasts (or any body else's) tits or boobs. They are breasts and they get too much negative attention as it is. Even Disney makes breasts an important part of their commercial… and not in a good way.
17. Tell your nieces and daughters they are smart and talented more than you tell them they are cute and pretty (the cute and pretty goes with out saying)!
18. Address women and men, not men and women
19. Throw in a herstory occasionally instead of history. (The history (herstory) of women is awesome) unbelievable strong women have helped us get to where we are today! Do you know how much Rosa Parks helped us?
20. Tell the men in your life to stop using the word bitch or very *friendly* person in front of you EVER! Don't be afraid of the comeback… good men will think, "It's about time" and respect your wishes. Other men will say, "Bitch!" or "What's wrong, you on the rag?" or he'll just think, "What a bitch." (Maybe we could get the B-word to be like the N-word that people don't/shouldn't use any more)
21. Make friends with who ever your boyfriend cheated on you with. Especially if you don’t want him back. Call her up; you cannot be bitter or angry. Be happy you found out and it's done… good riddance! Now you have a new friend out of the deal and this friend is female awesome! Can't have enough of those! We are not on earth to fight over men; don’t we have better things to do with our time?
If he knows you're friends and you're talking…he'll think he's going crazy… hum… funny how that works out. His thought process: What are they talking about? Why is she talking to her? Do they both know? And they're still talking? He'll become angry, scared, sad and confused, similar to our thought process while the affair was going on. Why do we fight each other?
---You have a man and a woman in a relationship---
Another woman is brought into your relationship. Who brought her in? HE DID!
Who knows the truth of your relationship? HE DOES!
Who's been lying? HE HAS!
If he has told her about you, rest assured he's telling her how terrible you are and that he plans to end it with you. This is how he keeps both of you. He lies to both of you. So why attack, hate, fight, whatever… the other woman… it makes no sense…none!
22. When you discover you have a female pilot… be proud, thank God and know you'll get wherever you're going safely.
23. Love the women who wear thong underwear up over their pants, or the women who bravely put on a belly shirt… if they are skinny, chubby, or pregnant.
24. Start a bowling team, or golf club of women only, better yet, make it a team of survivors. Get shirts made that say, 'I was raped.' or 'I'm a survivor of child sexual assault.' Let's be proud we survived. Would it help us all feel less shame?
25. Instead of being angry and jealous of women, let's help them do better, support them. If you see a woman making a mistake with her life; maybe she's dressing too sexy, or having lots of unprotected sex… it would be easier to gossip about her to other friends, but better to talk to her in a caring way and offer a shoulder and an ear if she ever needs one. (You'll feel better too)
26. If you are a photographer for a newspaper, take more photos of women.
27. If you're a writer for a paper, write about women.
28. If you're a server in a restaurant and a couple walks in, focus on the woman.
29. We must take more interest in women
30. If you're a computer hacker, please find a way to shut down all porn on the Internet
31. If a woman is raped, believe her no matter what. If a child says she was molested, believe her no matter what. How much safer would a woman feel if she knew she automatically had 51% of the population believing her. Her past does not matter! Who she's accusing does not matter!
32. Spread the word about The Gentlemen’s Club and the Stop the B-Word Campaign. We need to talk about this stuff. I know it's painful and depressing, but we must talk about it.
33. Get the porn out of your house. Our homes are sacred and should be safe. If we let garbage in our homes, where are we safe? It is nice to come home and shut out the ugly of the world.
34. Stop asking a man for his opinion on how you look… "Do I look fat in this?" STOP IT! YOU LOOK GREAT!!! YOU DO NOT LOOK FAT. YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL… ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!
35. Enthusiastically support women who are writing letters, speaking up, and standing up for what isn’t right.
36. Only stay in hotels that do not have pornography. When making the reservations, ask if they offer adult movies. If they say yes, ask if they know of a hotel that doesn't and let them know that that is the reason you will be staying elsewhere.
37. Chose to do at least one thing from this list that you don’t already do. Then highlight the ones you’ve already conquered and reward yourself with a bubble bath or trip to the museum or a massage or anything and everything that makes you feel good about you.
For fun, or because you’ve noticed something in our society that’s wrong, add some of your own.
