My husband and daughter have been having a lot of fights lately over her choice of friends and her staying out late. We moved to dubai for a fresh start (which hasn't happened , he's still a workolic and i'm left with kids) our eldest three are in uk so after yet another big row between daughter and father it was decided she could be sent back to uk for few weeks to give everyone a break (I had told them both that I can not take the fighting any more because it always ends up with me and him not talking for few days and at the moment I am feeling really homesick too! So yesterday after another fight he tells me thats it she going back tells her to pack bag we go buy ticket( or so I THOUGHT) THEN AT LAST MOMENT HE GIVES HER ONE LAST CHANCE!!!This is after I have phoned my other daughter in uk to expect her home I feel such a fool and he doesn't understand what is wrong

How old is your daughter that is still with you?
Your hubby obviously is having issues with dealing with a girl and parental guilt.
He probably does not really want to send her back and was hoping that his threats would maybe shake some sense into her.
Although being a couple, he is seriously hurting your relationship by not discussing these decisions with you first. You have every right to feel confused with whats going on. I do not know him so I am guessing that he has issues with controlling his temper somewhat when things get out of hand or do not go his way. His being a workaholic also adds to the fact that he doesn't have the time to have patience with your daughter. That is why the ultimatum was made. Again I am surmising here with the few facts that I know about your daughter and your husband.
My best thought would be to try and meet your husband on some type of middle ground when it comes to decision making with the children. That way a lot of stress and one person having to feel all the pressure is taken off of one person.
