The weather is getting cold. I don't even want to get out of bed.. I am so cold and stiff in the morning.
But I have found a TV show.. called the Classical Stretch.
Now I first stretch in the morning to warm up a bit.
Yawning has always been a great way to stretch in the morning. It is a start to get the body ready for the day.
Doing more stretching exercises does more for me.
It warms me up.. and since I am just starting out.. I find that taking a warm shower after that makes me feel even better. I am ready for the day.
Stretching is not as physical as exercises. Yoga is a form of stretching. Ti-Chi is a form of stretching. And all exercises call for stretching before and after a vigorous exercise session .
Stretching helps the body to align itself.
Stretching helps my body to feel better ..
And it is stretching the muscles gently ... and it really feels good.
Stretching is a great way to relive stress.
Right now I am a heavy weight.. and it is hard for me to get around.
I don't really walk.. or dance.. or do any other exercise then some house work.. but now I have found stretching. And the fun thing is that I don't have to really do it the same way as the instructor does. I can do it at my own pace. The main thing is stretching the muscles .. not causing any pain.
Right now my body doesn't stretch much.. but ever day.. the stretch is a little longer then the day before.
So think about stretching. Exercise it good... but for me .. who has all the aches and pains for not exercising.. stretching seems to be working.
