Ok so I was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks to help with cravings? Like if you're craving sweets whats something to eat to help it go away. Or spicy, salty etc.. I'm trying to lose weight but I have major cravings for all kinds of stuff and I think I need a little help anything would help!!!

Chewing gum usually works quite well for me, especially strong mint flavours coz not many things taste good with it, and its really good for cleaning your teeth, providing its sugar free!! Not having the stuff in the house is good too, and having healthy stuff ready to take its placee.g cut up some fruit or carrots to nibble on and keep them in the fridge ready for when your cravings take hold- sweets etc are so easy and convienient to get so taking the preparation out of healthy snacks makes them more appealing at times of urges! Also things like raisins or nuts can be good to munch on when you want something sweet, or even dry cereal, just limit yourself to a small pot and take your time to go through them and it will be more satisfying. GC xxxx I was reading Cosmo last night at my coffee house and not only does gum help you think (think that scene from the "Birdcage") it releases blood to the brain, so I guess that's another reason to chew gum. I hardly ever do it 'cos people too often chomp on it and make disguisting noises. Cravings? Eat something close to the craving; if you can't have chocolate, have peanut butter. Make it healthy? Try it on celery.
