Today I ate my butt off and you know... sometimes I just wonder why it's so d**n hard to lose weight and to just do it!! don't give in.. don't let up or put up just do the d**n thing!!!!!!!!!!!!! uhhgggg i'm so grossed out by myself sometimes that it just makes me sad! I don't want to be fat anymore, so why can't I try harder?? I really can't go on like this.. I'm just getting disappointed in myself again and I better not give up!!! Why is this so hard??

Have you ever thought about why you are eating when you are eating? Have you ever wrote a food journal?
There are very concrete reason why people overeat.
To figure that out is to write a journal and every time you make an entry...write down how you felt before you decided to eat and how you felt during and after.
Then move to writing down your feelings BEFORE you eat and then after.
This allows you to see eating as more than just eating.
It does help many people feel differently when they get the urge...because it begins a breakdown habit in your mind. By the time you have finished writing down why you want to eat...the urge disappears.
SO much of life's bad habits are just that...bad habits and they can be broken.
Also when you feel that urge to eat...do something...anything...also begin to say NO to yourself. Self talk about how crappy the results of eating are also tend to dissolve that momentary urge. Self talk about food is a good thing because it is not like you are pretending to not want to eat....which never helps...if anything it makes the urge stronger. Discuss why you want to eat with yourself...talk out loud if necessary. I can go on and on with different strategies that help dissolve that urge.

That's a really good idea a food journal! I thought about doing that but never did so I think I will try that. And like you said... it's a bad habbit that needs to be broken! Like smoking! I broke that one, now maybe I can break this one too! Thanx D you are such an inspiration!
