I am feeling really down and in the dark since midday today. Reason being, it dawned on me that I have no friends. No one to say, hi! want to go for a drink, shopping, bowling or shoot some pool or do something. I felt like the people I called seemed really busy and doesnt have time for me. Today I really wanted to do something with a friend, but to my surprise I have no one to turn to. My bestfriend lives in Florida so that was a mute point. I felt even more disappointed when I called on someone I thought was my friend, who indicated she will call me back in a few and ended up calling me 7 hours later. I think this is one of the reasons, I feel lonely and fatigue most of the time. I am glad I have this forum where I can express my thoughts.

I'min the same boat! Only people I talk to are my kids and husband(when he's around) and post messages on different sites, which helps a bit but not really the same as face to face chat.

Hello....
It is not fun when we feel like we are all alone in our world.
Finding friends is not something that just happens along. You have to make yourself part of life outside of your won corner.
Start getting involved with things such as bowling leagues...book clubs...look in your local newspaper for different things going on around your neighborhood or close to it. Join a church....volunteer somewhere for a couple of hours even a month. All of these suggestions might be hard if you are not a social person but that fact itself might also be why you find yourself with few people to hang out with. If not....fantastic...what are you witing for. Remember we can spend a lot of very valuable time thinking up ways why we cannot get out there and start meeting people....so just do it!
I look forward to your thoughts ! ~D~
